Connect to the cluster
The cluster frontend (access machine) is accessible at the adress zeus.univ-lille.fr.
The connection is done via the ssh protocol:
ssh -X login@zeus.univ-lille.fr
To access zeus from outside the university network, you have to use the University of Lille VPN.
Windows users may use the putty software.
Requirements
You need a valid user account at the ULille mesocenter.
Login
Your password is the one for your univ-lille.fr university account.
When you change your Université de Lille password, it takes an hour for it to be functional on the HPC/HTC cluster.
It is normal to fail to connect to the cluster until this time has passed.
File transfer
For data transfer you must use the scp or rsync commands. Windows users can use the filezilla or winscp software for the data transfer.
Each user has access to its home directory (BeeGFS) /home/login.
Data storage on the cluster is temporary, users must regularly save the data generated on the cluster in their laboratories.
